This gentleman is sweet and gentle. He has big bones and a large
shoulder. This man has some wonderful bloodlines including Princes MacDonald, Red Plaudit, and Dexter. He
is easy to handle. Really a nice boy to work with. He is too old to geld, my vets won't do it. The vet thinks
he is too arthritic to mount as he lived with mares all summer and no one got pregnant. We never saw him mount them.
He stays in hot-wire, doesn't test fencing, leads, loads, ties, catches, is up to date on vaccinations, de-worming, and teeth
floating.
I'm told he was broke as a 3 year old and ridden on the ranch for a year. He
will walk and turn and stop. He is very lazy and didn't want to do more than that and he's old, so we didn't make him.
I think he could handle arena riding, if it were light and he was monitered well.
He cannot eat alfalfa- he needs to be on grass hay. He is currently on grass
hay pellets (no bales to buy this time of year), Senior Equine, rice bran, and beet pulp to get weight on him. He just
had his feet trimmed last week (2nd week of January), and was de-wormed the 1st week of January.
